Welcome Back
We are excited for the 2017-2018 school year!
New Changes at "The Forge"
There are a few staffing changing for the 2017-2018 school year. We are excited to share that Ms. Piet was promoted to Assistant Principal at Summit Park Elementary School. Ms. Schmidt will transition from 5th grade into the role of our S.T.A.T. teacher. Mr. Houk will join the 5th grade team. A native of Baltimore County, Mr. Houk returns to Maryland after teaching in a Charter School in Brooklyn, New York. Ms. Kleinsasser accepted a position with the Office of World Languages. She will be teaching limited English language speaking students at various schools in BCPS. Ms. Evans will be teaching 1st grade in her place. We are excited to bring her on board! Ms. Evans joins us from Hawthorne Elementary. Finally, with Ms. Conyngham not returning this year, Ms. Granacher will take on a new role at RFES. She will join Ms. Hunter as a Special Education teacher. Ms. Traynor from New Town Elementary will join the 2nd grade team. I previously worked with Ms. Traynor at Sparks Elementary and am excited to have the opportunity to do so again! Each new educator brings creativity, talent, expertise, and enthusiasm to their respective position. They will be outstanding additions to an already amazing staff!
