The Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE) has released their Report Cards indicating school performance for the 2023-2024 School Year and... (drumroll, please!)
RFES is the #1 elementary school in the state of Maryland!!
Rodgers Forge earned 90.1% for overall performance and received a FIVE-STAR rating based on the MSDE accountability data for the 2023-24 academic year! Since 2018, MSDE has reported on accountability components outlined in the Maryland Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA)Consolidated State Plan, which evaluates school systems and individual schools based on a predetermined set of criteria.

In Math, RFES scored FIRST in BCPS and
SECOND in the state of Maryland!!!

SECOND in the state of Maryland!!!
The Maryland Comprehensive Assessment Program (MCAP) provides information to educators, families and the public on student progress towards proficiency on the Maryland state content standards. Through a strong assessment system, stakeholders gain an understanding of how schools are performing and where assistance can be directed to support student growth and achievement.
82% of RFES students in Grades 3-5 scored proficient or better in MATH. 91% of RFES students in Grades 3-5 scored proficient or better on LANGUAGE ARTS.
